As the countryside pauses for a rare solar eclipse rumored to reveal Mushi to the ordinary folk, anticipation fills the air. However, those acquainted with Mushi brace for the eclipse's aftermath. Guided by Tanyuu Karibusa's forewarning, Mushishi Ginko stumbles upon an ill-fated farming community. Post-eclipse, an ominous black cloud shrouds the sky once more, believed to be the doing of a Mushi named Hihami. Determined to dispel the perpetual darkness engulfing the village, Ginko encounters resistance from some hesitant villagers yearning to remain in the shadows.
