When Hiro Hiyorimi intervenes to rescue a young woman from danger, he finds himself sacrificing his life in the process. To his surprise, the woman he saves turns out to be Hime, the Monster King's daughter. As a result, Hiro is resurrected as a semi-dead warrior in Hime's macabre entourage. His new role entails battling the supernatural creatures unleashed by Hime's ambitious siblings, who seek to climb the ranks of power. Amidst encounters with vampires, zombies, and even more bizarre beings like were-sharks and killer dumplings, Hiro realizes that the afterlife is far from what he imagined. Despite the chaos, Hime stands out as the relatively virtuous figure in this dark underworld, where alliances are murky and dangers abound beyond the gates of hell.
