Shintarou Kisaragi, a recluse, faces a disruption in his solitary life when the mischievous cyber girl Ene residing in his computer damages his keyboard. Determined to replace it, Shintarou steps out of his room after two years, only to get caught up in a terrorist threat at a department store. Held hostage alongside other shoppers, he encounters the 'Mekakushi-dan,' a peculiar group of teens with unique powers and crimson eyes.
