Hotaru Hinase, a first-year high school student deeply devoted to her family and friends, views romance as something beyond her grasp. However, her perspective shifts when she witnesses the heart-wrenching breakup of the esteemed honor student, Hananoi, at a cafe. Moved by compassion, she offers him shelter under her umbrella during a snowy encounter. To her surprise, Hananoi appears in her classroom the next day, professing his feelings and seeking a romantic relationship.
