Among them is Rintarou Tsumugi, a sixteen-year-old Chidori student whose tough exterior masks a kind heart. While others shy away from him, Rintarou cherishes his tight-knit circle of friends. Yet, a secret lingers within him—he moonlights at his family's bakery without his friends' knowledge. During one fateful shift, Rintarou encounters Kaoruko Waguri, a mysterious customer who vanishes before their conversation can begin. The following day, Kaoruko reaches out to apologize and reveals her genuine belief in Rintarou's benevolence, sparking a curiosity within him. Despite the stark contrast in their personalities, Rintarou finds himself drawn to Kaoruko's warmth, eager to cultivate a friendship with her.
