Hotaru Hinase, a first-year high school student, prioritizes her family and friends over all else and opts to forgo romance. However, after witnessing the breakup of the charming honor student Hananoi at a cafe, she extends a gesture of kindness by sharing her umbrella with him in the snow. The next day, Hananoi surprises Hotaru in her classroom with a proposal to be his girlfriend. Despite her initial refusal, Hananoi persists in his efforts to win her over through acts of kindness.
