When Yamato Akitsuki moves from rural Hiroshima to Tokyo for high school, he agrees to help his aunt and cousin manage a girls-only dorm in exchange for lodging. Enthralled by a talented high jumper he encounters, he later learns she's not just a resident but also his neighbor. Suzuka Asahina, a top track and field athlete, is his schoolmate but is put off by his carefree nature. To impress her, Yamato joins the track team, discovering his sprinting skills. As he navigates dorm life with eccentric college students and strives to improve himself, he aims to win Suzuka's admiration despite her perfectionist tendencies.
