After summoning Lord Folken in her despair, Hitomi Kanzaki finds herself transported to Gaea, where she is believed to be the Wing Goddess capable of awakening the powerful Dragon Armor, Escaflowne. Meanwhile, on Gaea, King Van, the last of the White Dragon Clan, seeks vengeance against the Black Dragon Clan that destroyed his homeland.
