One fateful encounter in August 1995 introduces Mikiya Kokutou to the enigmatic Shiki Ryougi, a young woman in traditional kimono attire. Despite Shiki's peculiar nature due to her unusual background, Mikiya forges ahead to befriend her upon discovering they attend the same school. Over time, Shiki starts to reveal more of herself to Mikiya, building a connection that will alter his life in unforeseen ways.
