Jinta Yadomi, a recluse who shuns school for video games, has his solitude disrupted by the ghost of his childhood friend, Menma. Convinced it's not a figment of his imagination, Jinta reunites with his estranged friends to fulfill Menma's forgotten wish and find closure for her spirit, facing their shared grief and regrets along the way.
