During her first year in high school, Yusa Tachikawa develops a crush on a senior basketball player. Witnessing his team's training sessions alongside her best friend Nanami Sugio, Yusa seizes any opportunity to interact with him. A chance encounter with the reserved Kaede Haruta at her part-time job leads to an intriguing proposal - she introduces him to her beloved shoujo manga. Soon, a love triangle emerges when Yusa discovers Nanami's affection for the same senior. Fearing Nanami's sacrifice for her own feelings, Yusa spontaneously declares her affection for Haruta instead. To uphold this facade, she enlists Haruta to pose as her boyfriend.
