Kaede Satou frequents a dilapidated Chinese eatery, seeking comfort in its humble setting. Amidst savoring potstickers and beer within its cozy confines, she forms a bond with the establishment's owner, a woman who lost her previous ramen shop to a fire, and her enigmatic husband who toils away behind a wooden divider. Following a dreary day at her pachinko parlor job, Kaede returns to the restaurant only to discover that its closure looms at the year's end. However, before bidding farewell, the owner pledges to treat Kaede to a bowl of their renowned tantanmen, a relic from their former establishment, and an introduction to the skilled cook behind her cherished potstickers.
