Hajime Aono, once captivated by his father's violin artistry, abandons music after his parents' acrimonious split. Lost in high school without purpose, a chance ball mishap introduces him to Ritsuko Akine, a misunderstood violinist with a tarnished reputation. As Akine aspires to join an orchestra, Aono, despite his initial resistance, reluctantly agrees to coach her.
