On her first day at high school, Midori Nanami drops her wallet and a kind boy retrieves it for her. She struggles to thank him in time, only to discover later that he is Rei Ichijou, her classmate. Rei, along with his friends Yukinojo Ieiri and Chihiro Goshima, mysteriously disappear from school, surrounded by rumors. Midori grapples with the idea that these boys, despite their reputations, had helped her. When a secret job jeopardizes her scholarship, the school chairman gives her a choice: either lose her scholarship or convince Rei and his friends to return to school.
