During a typical day at school, Tsukuru and his classmates are unexpectedly whisked away to a different realm. Instead of a warm welcome, they find themselves at a hero auction, where nations compete for powerful heroes to vanquish the demon king. While his peers with exceptional abilities fetch hefty prices, Tsukuru, labeled a mere 'Chef,' remains unsold and is unceremoniously expelled through a transfer gate into a perilous magical forest teeming with formidable monsters. Evading death's grasp multiple times, Tsukuru embarks on a perilous journey towards becoming the mightiest of them all.
