Feeling hounded by ominous vultures tailing his every move, Nogawa retreats from his life, abandoning college and his relationship. The unsettling revelation of his neighbor's long-undiscovered demise prompts an exodus of his acquaintances from the neighborhood. Left alone, Nogawa remains in the crumbling edifice, as nature reclaims the surroundings and a flock of vultures ominously perch atop the roof.
