In a contemporary Japan where individuals with divine abilities are known as 'Himiko,' achieving national recognition elevates them to the revered status of 'Kamisama' or 'God.' When Nagi's grandmother, the shrine's previous deity, passes away, the sacred place faces a crisis without a divine guardian. Although Nagi's twin brother, Takeru, inherits extraordinary powers, his reclusive nature hinders him from fulfilling his potential. Serendipitously, Nagi enrolls at 'Kamisama Gakkou,' a prestigious institution for Himiko. Driven by the desire to restore the shrine, Nagi sets her sights on gaining national certification to ascend as a deity.
