Kayato, a socially isolated teenager with a phobia of touch and a penchant for struggles in forging friendships, faces a challenging time connecting with his high school peers during a trip to Hakodate. However, his world drastically shifts when time halts for everyone except him, enveloping the bustling city in an unsettling silence. Amid this strange occurrence, he encounters Akira, a sharp and rebellious local figure who, despite their contrasting personalities, reluctantly joins forces with him to unravel the mystery. Guided by a cryptic message from Kayato's late uncle hinting at a suspended reality, the duo embarks on a journey to Tokyo, combing through the deceased relative's belongings in search of answers within the suspended animation of the world.
