Riiko Izawa, a high school student with a history of failed crushes, stumbles upon a lost phone in a park one day. When she returns it to its owner, the peculiar Gaku Namikiri, she jokingly expresses her desire for a boyfriend. To her surprise, Gaku introduces her to a website where she can order a lifelike robot companion. Giving in to curiosity, Riiko signs up for a trial and receives a stunningly realistic robot named Night Tenjou. As she grows fond of Night during the trial period, she faces a dilemma: either pay a hefty sum for keeping him or become a beta tester for the company. With her heart involved and finances at stake, Riiko must make a tough decision about her unexpected robotic romance.
