In a dark and gritty twist on traditional fairy tales, Prince Ludwig, a collector of female corpses, receives a directive from his father to seek a more appropriate bride than his usual companions. Accompanied by his loyal servant Wilhelm, they embark on a journey through the kingdom, scouring classic tales for suitable maidens to become Ludwig's wife.
