During the Edo period in Japan, a mysterious illness known as the Redface Pox emerges, targeting the male population. Over eighty years, the number of men dwindles by seventy-five percent, leading women to assume all societal roles, including the shogun's position. Men, revered as vital contributors to life, are shielded from harm, with the most attractive among them chosen to work in the shogun's Inner Chamber.
