Akitsu Masanosuke, a talented yet masterless samurai known for his loyalty, finds himself dismissed by various lords due to his naive and hesitant demeanor. Struggling to make ends meet, he reluctantly agrees to serve as a bodyguard for Yaichi, the charming leader of a group known as the 'Five Leaves.' As Masa witnesses the group's questionable actions, he begins to question Yaichi's true intentions. Despite his initial reservations, the more involved he becomes with the Five Leaves, the more captivated he becomes by their enigmatic and cunning ways.
