While exploring, young Takamachi Nanoha comes across a wounded talking ferret, Yuuno, beseeching for help telepathically. Yuuno, an archaeologist and mage from a different realm, accidentally scatters dangerous Jewel Seeds across Earth and entrusts Nanoha with the task of retrieving them. Empowered by a red jewel that allows her to transform and wield magic against the menacing monsters drawn to the Seeds, Nanoha faces a new threat - competitors also vying for the powerful artifacts.
