Chiyo Sakura faces the daunting task of confessing to her crush, Umetarou Nozaki, after being saved by him at Roman Academy. Little does she know, Nozaki is a renowned shoujo manga artist known as 'Sakiko Yumeno,' who misunderstands her confession as admiration from a fan. This leads to a series of comical misinterpretations, with Sakura inadvertently becoming his manga assistant. As she navigates her unrequited love and assists Nozaki with his work, she encounters his eccentric helpers from their high school, all while attempting to bridge the gap between her feelings and his obliviousness in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.
