Sakurai, a student lacking in drive or passion, avoids team sports until a fateful encounter with his classmate Toyoguchi changes everything. Caught in a compromising situation, Sakurai agrees to manage the female lacrosse team to keep the incident under wraps. Reluctant at first, he gradually finds himself captivated by Toyoguchi's enthusiasm for the sport she championed at school.
