When Reiko and her younger brother stumble upon a peculiar winged cat-like creature, they bring it home in secret. To their amazement, the creature reveals itself as an extraterrestrial merchant seeking to exchange cutting-edge technology for a substance known as 'hahise,' found plentifully on Earth. Enticed by a device capable of replicating anything, including currency, Reiko and her brother make a pact with far-reaching consequences, plunging Reiko into a shadowy and unforeseen destiny.
