In the heart of the narrative lies Yakumo Atae, a freshman who holds the clandestine truth about his formidable classmate Tsurugi Yabusame - despite her reputation as the school's most powerful girl, she moonlights as a blossoming light novel writer known as Mio Himemiya. Struggling with a major writer's block in crafting her latest romantic comedy, Tsurugi finds an unexpected ally in Yakumo. Coincidentally, Yakumo's cousin Kokona Atae serves as Tsurugi's editor and proposes a rather unconventional solution: for Yakumo and Tsurugi to feign a romantic relationship, allowing Tsurugi to delve into the realm of love firsthand.
