After being diagnosed with lung cancer, a young man enters hospice care at a hospital in Mito, Ibaraki. There, he encounters Setsumi, a woman slightly older than him, facing a similar fate. Rejecting the idea of spending their final days in the hospital or at home, they escape in the protagonist's father's silver Honda Integra. Embarking on a journey across Japan, they meander through different regions until they settle on the southern Awaji Island's narcissus fields as their destination.
