In the first chapter, Kou recounts the events from the prologue in his own words. Moving on to the second chapter, Futaba contemplates a makeover of her image as she nears her middle school graduation. Lastly, in the third chapter, Kou observes Futaba's transformation and shifting behavior during the initial days of high school.
