In the realms of Pine Records, the eleven idols of 'Music Girls'—Haru Chitose, Eri Kumagai, Sarasa Ryuoh, Kiri Mukae, Uori Mukae, Sasame Mitsukuri, Miku Nishio, Hiyo Yukino, Shupe Gushiken, Kotoko Kintoki, and Roro Morooka—struggle as a lackluster group, unable to sell their CDs or rise in fame. Despite their constant financial woes and obscurity, the determined members and their producer, Ikehashi, refuse to give up. To ignite their success, Ikehashi embarks on a quest to recruit a new member, an idol who can infuse the group with the spark needed to reach the pinnacle of stardom.
