Following a crash in his Phantom jetfighter, Japanese pilot Yazawa undergoes a six-month recovery. Soon after, an old acquaintance from an airplane magazine urges him to look into a Phantom's involvement in a conflict in El Salvador. As Yazawa delves deeper, he uncovers a web of international arms conspiracy, all inspired by a collection of military fiction novels.
