In the TV anime adaptation based on the first three out of five episodes of the Phantasy Star Online 2 game, new anime-original content will be introduced. Episode 1 sees the player and fellow ARKS trainee Afin facing an onslaught of Darkers during their qualification exam on planet Naberius. Their encounter leads to the discovery of a girl with fragmented memories, unveiling startling truths about Naberius and the surge in Darker activities. Episode 2 delves into a sinister conspiracy surrounding ARKS, with the player and Matoi at the center of it all, striving to unravel its mysteries. Episode 3 takes the ARKS to the newly-discovered planet Harukotan, where the fragile peace between the Shironian and Kuronites is shattered by a sudden Kuronite assault. Assigned to investigate, the ARKS uncover a tangled web of secrets and horrors that surpass their expectations.
