During a leisurely outing supervised by their trainers, Pikachu and Piplup find themselves unexpectedly separated from their Pokémon companions. Together with a Skitty, they embark on a journey into a mysterious dimension, unknowingly trailed by Croagunk, one of Team Rocket's Pokémon, and a singing Marill yearning for an audience.
