After finding herself in a different realm, Kurumi Tokisaki becomes intrigued by a unique white feline. However, their paths diverge, leaving Kurumi disheartened. Soon, Kurumi crosses paths with Hibiki Higoromo, a quasi-spirit with snowy locks, who reveals they are embroiled in a deadly competition among quasi-spirits within the Neighboring World. These ethereal beings vie for a solitary wish awarded to the sole survivor of the harrowing contest. Grasping the high stakes, Kurumi and Hibiki strike a tentative deal—a fleeting truce in the face of peril.
