In a secluded village, Kohachi Inugami, a detective with a penchant for the supernatural, is summoned by an innkeeper to probe a series of bizarre incidents involving decaying livestock. Amidst his inquiries, he encounters a marginalized boy named Dorotabou, shunned by his community for his reclusive nature and odorous aura. Intrigued by the boy, Inugami enlists his help in solving the mysterious occurrences, despite the skepticism of the locals. Little does Dorotabou realize, this collaboration will unveil a hidden realm where human and beastly Kemono coexist, offering him a newfound sense of purpose and belonging.
