In the lively Shibuya cityscape, Neku Sakuraba discovers his newfound ability to delve into people's thoughts using mysterious black pins. These pins, however, also unveil a darker side by revealing the existence of malevolent beings known as the 'Noise' capable of obliterating individuals. Trapped within the city's confines, Neku is thrust into a high-stakes challenge with a dire consequence for failure. Amidst a harrowing encounter with the Noise, he crosses paths with Shiki Misaki, who proposes a pact to combat these monstrous adversaries. Together, they navigate the enigmatic 'Reaper's Game' as designated 'Players,' embarking on a seven-day odyssey fraught with perilous missions. As Neku and Shiki grapple with each day's trials, they forge alliances, confront formidable foes, and gradually unravel the veiled secrets entwined within this mysterious game.
