After the passing of his legendary grandfather, Setsu Sawamura flees his rural village, grappling with grief and a profound musical legacy tied to the shamisen. Seeking solace in Tokyo's urban sprawl, he hopes to unearth his own musical identity amid the cacophony of city life. However, the bustling metropolis only amplifies his sense of dissonance. Unexpectedly, his affluent mother, Umeko, intervenes, compelling Setsu to enroll at Umezono Academy. Here, he encounters Shuri Maeda, an ardent admirer of the Tsugaru shamisen, driven by a desire to revive a forgotten melody from her grandmother's past. Stirred by Shuri's passion, Setsu finds himself leading a shamisen club, imparting his knowledge to its members. As he immerses himself in this new venture, can Setsu rediscover his ardor for the shamisen and forge a distinct, resonant sound of his own?
