At Musashi Mountain High School, Goshogawara finds himself as the sole sumo club member. Determined to compete, he endeavors to recruit new members. Through his passion and dedication, he successfully convinces four individuals to join the club: Kaoru Kiyokawa, the judo team leader; Takayuki Kannai, a professional wrestler; Nanno Ippei, a slim tough-guy enthusiast; and Raiden Goro, a reserved giant with a knack for Go. Together, the quintet trains diligently and eventually faces off against a skilled professional sumo club in a thrilling competition.
