In the yearly Detective Conan movie, the infamous Kaitou Kid once again clashes with Conan Edogawa. A renowned actress, Juri Maki, enlists the help of detective Kogorou Mouri after receiving a letter from the phantom thief regarding the protection of the Star Sapphire—a gem symbolizing faith, fate, and hope. Believing he's cracked Kid's riddle, Kogorou appears at the space theater where Juri performs in the play 'Josephine' to ensnare the elusive thief. Following a murder on their way to Juri's vacation home, celebrations turn dire as Conan and his comrades face a chain of unexpected and perilous events. Forced into an unlikely alliance, Conan and Kid must join forces to rescue their companions and fellow passengers from looming disaster.
