In the midst of a surge in sightings of enigmatic beings called 'Hologram Ghosts,' Hazakura Academy student Hiro Amanokawa remains skeptical of the urban legend. Yet, haunted by his father's inexplicable disappearance and the eerie digital watches left behind, Hiro's doubts waver as the ghostly encounters escalate. When a peer is assaulted by one of these phantoms, Hiro and his friend Kiyoshirou Higashimitarai embark on an investigation, unwittingly plunging into a perilous realm shrouded in mystery and danger.
