The recent announcement of a live-streamed 'Nijisanji Mahjong Cup' tournament revealed plans for an upcoming animated series based on Cat Food Studio and Yostar's popular mahjong game, Mahjong Soul. Set to debut in April, this whimsical adaptation, titled Jong-Tama PONG☆, will be helmed by Kenshirou Morii, known for his work on Anime-Gataris, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico, and Grand Blues!, under the production of Scooter Films.
