Inspired by her late grandfather's wisdom, Chizuru Mizuhara teams up with her friend Kazuya Kinoshita to kickstart a crowdfunding campaign for an indie film. Their goal is to fulfill Chizuru's grandparents' wishes before she also loses her grandmother. Along the way, they encounter a trio of unique individuals: Kazuya's needy 'practice' girlfriend, Ruka Sarashina; their curious new neighbor, Mini Yaemori; and Chizuru's reserved coworker, Sumi Sakurasawa. Together, this unlikely group bands together to meet their funding target and kick off production. As the project gains momentum, Chizuru and Kazuya find themselves navigating newfound emotions and a budding romance.
