Following his Johto League adventure, Ash embarks on a fresh journey with Pikachu through the Hoenn region. His solo quest quickly becomes a group endeavor when reluctant Pokemon disliker May tags along with him, courtesy of Pikachu's bicycle mishap. Reuniting with his trusty friend Brock and meeting May's brother, Max, the companions set off across Hoenn. Amidst challenging Gym battles, Contest competitions, and various encounters, they aim for glory at the Hoenn League.
