Concurrently in modern Japan, Arata Hinohara, a bullied high school student, stumbles into a parallel universe and swaps lives with his Amawakuni counterpart. Endowed with the power of a 'Sho' and armed with divine weapons, Hinohara embarks on a quest, aided by newfound allies, to bring balance to his unfamiliar surroundings.
