In a desolate world overrun by the sinister forces of Cephiro, our protagonist Hikaru fights against the darkness alongside her friends. When faced with the vengeful ice-witch Alcyone, Hikaru is rescued by the mysterious Lantis, who challenges her with a mystical ordeal. As Cephiro's minions hunt her companions, Umi and Fuu race to awaken the slumbering Mashin, ancient beings that can merge with them to unleash immense power. With doubts and inexperience plaguing them, the Magic Knights must unite with the Mashin to combat Cephiro's malevolence.
