As she nears the end of high school, Tamako Kitashirakawa, a spirited but somewhat naive third-year student, focuses on perfecting her baton performance for the Usagiyama Marching Festival. While her friends make ambitious plans for the future, Tamako is content with continuing to help run her family's restaurant. Meanwhile, under the same vibrant sky, Mochizou Ooji dreams of studying in Tokyo, grappling with his unspoken affection for Tamako, his childhood friend and secret love. Time ticks away as Mochizou wrestles with his feelings, knowing that unless he confesses soon, his chance for a romantic connection with Tamako may slip away forever.
