When Earth is invaded by parasitic aliens, they assimilate into humans by seizing control of their minds. A high schooler, Shinichi Izumi, becomes a host to one of these creatures, but it settles in his hand instead of his brain. Named Migi, the parasite and Shinichi form a reluctant partnership to survive against other hostile aliens keen on eliminating them.
