While en route to Areishia Spirit Academy, Kamito Kazehaya stumbles upon Claire Rouge, a student engaged in a ritual bath for spiritual purification. Intent on bonding with a potent spirit to enhance her powers as an elementalist, Claire's plans go awry when the spirit chooses Kamito, a male student in a female-dominated realm. Undeterred, Claire insists on forging a contract with Kamito instead. Upon arrival, Kamito crosses paths with Headmaster Greyworth Ciel Mais, who extends an invitation to join the academy. Despite the challenges of being the only male amidst aspiring shrine princesses, Kamito reluctantly agrees, driven by the promise of intel on his former spirit, Restia Ashdoll. To add to his plate, he must also undertake Greyworth's daunting task: emerge victorious in the upcoming Blade Dance, a prestigious tournament where he will confront the rumored strongest elementalist bonded with a dark spirit.
