After a traumatic experience during a middle school brass band contest, Kumiko Oumae decides to leave music behind. Starting high school, she unexpectedly finds herself immersed in a group passionate about the school's brass band. Encouraged by her new bandmates, including aspiring tubist Hazuki Katou, seasoned contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, and the ambitious euphonist Asuka Tanaka, Kumiko rediscovers her love for music. Among the familiar faces are childhood friend Shuuichi Tsukamoto, now playing the trombone, and Reina Kousaka, a trumpeter from their middle school days. However, within the band, disorder prevails. Despite aiming for the national band competition, just participating in the local festival seems daunting without intervention from the new band advisor, Noboru Taki.
