Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu: Yotarou Hourou-hen
Included in the special editions of the 7th and 8th manga volumes, a man recently released from prison sets his sights on a specific destination. Enthralled by a classic comic storyteller's rendition of 'Shinigami,' he aspires to become the apprentice of this performer known as Yakumo. Despite Yakumo's reluctance to take on apprentices, he surprises everyone by accepting the enthusiastic ex-convict and bestowing upon him the name 'Yotaro.' As Yotaro embarks on this new chapter of his life with joy, he encounters other significant figures in Yakumo's circle, such as Konatsu, Yakumo's ward. Konatsu, the daughter of a renowned storyteller, was taken in by Yakumo following her father's tragic passing. Despite her deep admiration for her father's storytelling craft and her own aspirations to follow in his footsteps, societal norms dictate that such a path is closed off to women.
